About EMDR / Trauma Therapy

A safe, and effective natural therapy to treat depression, stress and trauma.

I have been successfully helping the victims of road traffic accidents (RTA) for a number of years and have attended a number of further trainings in trauma work, including EMDR. Studies show that EMDR is a rapid and effective therapy to minimise or eradicate the symptoms of PTSD and related problems such as depression, stress, anxiety, phobias and addictions. During the EMDR process the memory tends to change in such a way that it loses its painful intensity and simply becomes a neutral memory of an event in the past.

EMDR has a direct application to so many human conditions and is effectively used to eliminate many types of emotional blocks or fears, including PTSD, sexual abuse, grief, shame, combat trauma symptoms, and performance anxiety.

After six years of practising EMDR, I am consistently amazed at the rapid and effective results I continue to witness. In fact once this processing has taken place, it often seems as if a whole new person is allowed to emerge. I have not seen many treatments in psychotherapy as intriguing as those when EMDR is put into action.
